The exams are over..finally. Results are partially out. Tiffany and I are very worried. I just hope and pray she'll pass all her subjects..so far, it seemed at least 2 subjects may fail. Luckily it's NOT English, otherwise she has either to stay back a year or go to normal. She's very very worried. Please pray for her.
Tiffany recently wanted to try out contact lens. Her dad (being a contact lens lover himself) agreed to it. It took her like 40min to get her lenses in at the optician. Then, at home in the morning, she agreed to wake up 15 mins earlier just to put on her lenses. Her dad helped her and she dropped her right side into the hole in the sink :( So now she has 1 mis-matched pair. (Oh, we got her the monthly disposable..more economical than dailies and less sceptical to bacteria than permanent). Sadly, she asked for contacts just AFTER we 3 girls made new specs!! So you can guess this month's visa bill would cost us a BOMB! The girls' degrees were rising quite fast and since they wear their specs whole day, you can imagine the amount of wear and tear on them. Mine was made like 4 or 5 years' ago and quite corroded....after seeing how badly corroded my dad's glasses were, I thought I've better change mine in case it breaks into pieces!!
Just received a call from the travel agency during my dad's birthday celebration that our tixs are ready for collection. I was kinda worried cos they told us earlier that they'll call us 2 weeks after our booking. Seems like the tourism industry is very down...they were still open for booking so they couldn't issue the air-tixs yet. I know when I tried booking a holiday 2 years' ago just 1 month before the school hols, ALL packages were sold out!! Now, it seems to be different.
My dad just celebrated his 93 birthday. It was nice that all the siblings gathered for his birthday. It wasn't a grand affair, just the immediate family members. Most important to my mum is photo-taking to remember the occassion. Unfortunately, my elder brother's 2 elder kids couldn't make it...1 studying overseas, the other in NS. It's so nice to see my elderly parents so loving towards each other. I sometimes tell Bert I hope we could grow old together and be healthy together, and continue to enjoy each other's company till a ripe old age. Talking about being healthy, I think I've better start exercising again...had laid off my gym routine since my hospitalisation episode, and was just plain lazy to hit the gym.
Going to pick up the air tixs tomorrow. The girls are really excited and I think they deserve this long awaited break which was supposed to be last year after Tiffany's PSLE!
Love Theresa
